Mistletoe rapings!?

Great graphics. Your cartoons are full of character and looking crisp like a frosty scottish morning. Ace job here.

Style-wise, there was a gratuitous use of the blur filter....it made it lag a smidgen...I'd try and refine my use of it, if I were you.

Sweet jesus I love that song. It reminds me of a Harry Enfield sketch I saw ages ago. The voice acting was a bit weak, but it still managed to do the job.

Humour: I feel it would have been funnier had the voice actor BELLOWED the line. The ending rape was highly amusing.

Overall, it was pretty solid. I enjoyed the brief and fleeting company of this rather merry cartoon. I hope you do something more substantial next time, as your characters reek of potential.

4/5: Nice one!

VictorVonVice responds:

thnx Moose. <3 much love to you. ^^

Brilliant

This is probably the best advert for flash 8 I've seen. You managed to pull off some breathtaking effects while still retaining a sense of energy throughout. Some parts were a tad lazier than others, thus you fell short of full marks (blue guy taking off his helmet being an example), but this is a small gripe. An astounding experiment; very well done.

My 150th review!?

Please note, the review you are about to read is very hard to type as my space bar isn't working properly.

Graphics: They're original and pretty good. I can't say I've seen anything like them before. However, I found the lines a bit too rag-tag. They look like they need a good ironing, if you get what I mean. I'd be interested to see what they'd look like when you smoothed them out a bit.

Style: Your FBF is really good. I'm very impressed with the ammount of time you must've put in to create such awesome animation. I take my hat off to you, sir.

Sound: The voice recordings were all of a good standard, but I feel the voices need to be a bit more different.

violence....interactivity....

Humour: I didn't laugh, but it is kinda funny. I can't suggest improvements on script-writing.

Overall you get an 8. You're really getting somewhere with this series and I can't wait to see where it's headed. Next time, maybe make it a bit longer and try to include some out of House scenes.

Good work!

Snubby responds:

Thanks for the awesome review. I'll be looking into the voices and try to differentiate them a bit. Also, others have complained that the plots are boring, so I'll work on that too :D

<3

Not too shabby.

The graphics were a bit choppy but pleasant. My advice would be to use the line tool to create celery-sharp edges for the characters as of the blunt and blundering of brush-tool.

The style was sorta nifty. I'd up the framerate as the tweens were somewhat jittery. Please add limbs next time. Also, no one plays the guitar with their hand behind it. That was lazy: you should have draw a hand!

Sound: Nice song.

Violence, Interactivity, Humour: etc.

Overall: The lip-sync was fine. I understand that this was a lip-sync project, but you should have really put more effort into other aspects of the cartoon. One example would be the hands. I'm sure you'll pull of something much more substantial and interesting next time.

Well done: 2/5.

MikeStand responds:

"Also, no one plays the guitar with their hand behind it"
What!? Everyone plays guitar with their hand behind the fret board, that's how you hold it!

Thanks for the advice though. The hands are intentionally as they are, mainly becuase, yes, it is alot easier, but also because that's the style I use.

Wehey

I feel his pain.

Anyhoo...

Graphics: Consistently awesome. You've got a great, great style going on. I can't think of any improvemenets.

Style: To me, style is animation. The animation was great. I would usually associate tweening with laziness, but you certainly weren't lazy (unless you'd made the models before xD). It looked very very good.

Sound: Fun voices, but the quality was a tad dubious at times. Not to mention luigi's (?) shout at the end...it lacked passion. Small complaint, but it stood out. Great choice of music for the credits.

Violence: there was a bit.

Interactivity: Preloaader and replay button? Yep.

Humour: Pretty funny. I don't laugh at internet cartoons and this was no exception, but it certainly made me smile a bit. It was clearly funny, but I'm incapable of laughing....

In conclusion you get an EIGHT. I understand that this was a short, but it was a very short short. Keep it up Mr. Wonchop.

4/5 and added to favourites. Well Done!

Wonchop responds:

Well the Ruth one I made ages ago and hadn't used til now. Same with the Wonchop one, althought I used that for PPGZ in a Nutshell. The B3n and Wez models are recent though. :3
Also, the scream would've been better were it not for my family playing board games in the next room.

Meh

Graphics: The opening shot with the leaves made me expect more. Sadly I was dissapointed. If I can refer to the opening shot as a sterling example of what you can do, then you, sir, were very lazy! Had you kept that same quality in the backgrounds throughout, I wouldn't have particularly minded the basic character design.

Style: You managed to convey atmosphere pretty well, the lip syncing was also top notch in some places. However, there was little animation of movement (although, when there was it was fine). You should try and put more effort into your fbf and use even more.

Sound: I didn't really like the song...That doesn't effect my final score.

Violence:...

Interactivity: Preloader. Play button. Replay button. Nothin more needed. Full marks.

Humour:...

In conclusion you get a fantabulous Five out of Ten, but you could definately do better. If you want to keep the basic character design, then make sure they are animated SUPERBLY - it's just sheer laziness to do a tweened 'up-down' walk-cycle with such an easily animated character. Also, make sure to keep up the quality of the backgrounds.

Well done on conveying atmosphere throughout the flash: that's the hardest part done. More animating please!

Well done.

2/5

I remember this from the flash forums!

Glad to see you finally finished it. It was prett funny actually...well, the bit with the cow made me chuckle a tiny, tiny bit (which is very good for a web-cartoon!) Excellent graphics, average animation and good use of music. My main concern is the animation, you can do better!
Keep it up!

Jimp responds:

Thanks for the review man, really appreciate it. Yeah, I need to work on my fbf animation a bit.

Well, as you asked

Graphics: You've got great artistic flair. Your character designs are interesting and in drawn in a great way. You also use colour very effectively. I can't tell you how to improve your graphics.

Style: I always assume this referes to animation. Here, there is a lot of work to be done. You realy need to practise your animation before attempting another dramatic fight sequence. The one I just watched in your animation seemed stoic and lacked any kind of movemement. You are clearly a capable artist, but you NEED to practise your frame-by-frame animation.

Sound: The voices weren't amazing, I'm sure you can find better voice actors. I couldn't understand the lead-robot's voice either. The music was fitting, but you should have music throughout, as when there was none, I found myself getting a tad boredl

Wasn't too violent.

It's a movies, would interactivity be needed?

Humour: wasn't funny, wasn't meant to be.

(I hate these categories)

In conclusion, you have a great character who seems to lack any movemement. Work on animating him and you'll have a winner on your hands.

Best of luck, can't wait 'til the next ep!

Don't say that, your voice is lovely.

This is (probably) my favourite TooF outing: The sound effects, sound (including voices) and lip-sync were all perfect. I had some problems when they were outside though: I guess you must've blurred the bacgkrounds, because they lagged horribley for me. Anyhoo, sorry to see TooF leave newgrounds; it was a good ride. Well done on pioneering the way with which Authors communicate with reviewers.

Erm...

Is it legal to copy the movements off an advert by tracing them and to then put it on ta website claiming that you made the whole thing? Just a question.

It makes me sad when you see someone with a 3+ score for something which is, essentially, not theirs. You did put a lot of time into tracing it, but it's still a shallo mockery of what flash should be about!

Sorry for broadcasting my views onto your page...it just bugged :(

Merry Christmas.

Used to mess about with flash for fun, now do it professionally.
