I feel like pushing my ideas onto someone...

Right, time for a review:

The graphics were pretty good. Nothing spectacular at all, but they got the job done. I'm not sure how you could improve them. maybe try something a little less generic next time - for example: make the wolf be wearing a suit and tie. Make the graphics have something that'll catch the eye.

Style: Some nice fbf in a couple of places. Seriously look over your use of filters, layers and tweens though. The filters seemed to be used a lot, and the idea of the blur filter is that you don't see it. Use the blur when you have an obvious foreground and use the blur on the background. It'll move attention to the fg.

The song was fine. I can't tell you how to improve that.

Not much violence. Bleh.

Play button...not sure if there was a replay button as I closed during the credits.

It wasn't funny.

Overall, it seems to me like you're still trying to grasp the basics of flash. Your art's pretty good and you seem to have intresting ideas, however you're not doing yourself justice by repeatedly using MCs and tweems. I'm sure your style will evolve with future projects, I just hope you remember my comments next time.

I agree with sparky 624 to an extent...

It would've been nice to have seen more variations of reality, not just robots. I mean, pretty much all of the parts were of men and women running away from giant killer robots. With a theme such as "Altered Reality", I expected many more original ideas (instead of just giant killer robots).

HOWEVER, despite this theme-flaw, this collab was extremely impressive.

Great graphics, consistently high throughout. The graphics varied from very good to excellent, so that's not a bad thing.

The style was...well, as i mentioned, all the parts were very similar in their style. Surely the idea of a collaboration is to put your own spin on the theme, but this wasn't particularly apparent here. The animation style, however, was extremely high. I only gave a six due to the lack of variety in the animations.

Great sound which definately fitted the theme.

Graphic violence but no blood.

You had an amazing menu. That menu was...gosh, I can't descrube the majesty of it. It was perfect.

No funny stuff here m'lad!

Overall this collab is extremely good. The ammount of talented artists was great, even the lesser-known ones pulled their weight. Very well done. This collab falls short of perfection due to the similarity of everyone's parts when faced with an extremely interesting and imaginative theme.

There should be more stuff like this...

What a pleasant way to spend 60 seconds of my life (I watched it three times). Great fbf. This is a favourite ^^

Well done.

Nice guys.

The graphics were consistently very very good. Nothing too amazing, but definately pleasing on the eye.

Style: Brilliant! There was a genuine variety in the styles of each animation. My personal favourites were coolio_niato and steven m. I only gave an 8 because of that damn kirby sprite....that could've been done a helluva lot better.

Great sound, seemed to fit the theme.

I never laugh at cartoons, but I could see that some people would find it funny.

Overall it was very good. It's worth watching it just to see steven m's amazing style. Of course, all of the parts were good. Well done chaps.

Evan responds:

Ha, steven m is good. Guess the british have to stick with the british, right?

Urk.

I can't be assed to write an uber-long review (like I have been doing so lately) so I'll get down to the basics.

Poor idea. Not particularly inspired, it would seem. The graphics were...horrible...The voice of the kid was suitably annoying though, kudos on that. Had the graphics been better, I may have deemed this amusing. Unfortunately...

...

Well, at least it doesn't affect your batting average ^^

Damn-near perfect.

This is a brilliant cartoon, it reminds me somewhat of Tenchi Muyo and contains many of the qualities that you'd find in professional animation.

Graphics: 10. You didn't re-use any of the character shots, drawing each angle from scratch. Commendable effort with admirable results.

Great style. The FBF was a bit jittery but pretty much the whole film was drawn frame-by-frame to an extent.

AMAZING sound. I loved the sound effects and music. The voice-acting, too, was brilliant. I can't sing the praises enough for this aspect of the film.

No violence.

For an Interactive cartoon, it seemed lacking. I would have had more scenes to watch from clicking the various parts of the Kitchen Zone.

It was very funny. I didn't laugh, but the script was excellent. I really did enjoy watching it.

I've given you a ten overall. This cartoon is brilliant fun to watch and contains animation of a ludicrously high quality. Very well done.

Hmmn.

Right.
Graphics: Crisp, clean and attractive. I only gave a five as many of the graphics were used time and time again.

Style: The style of the piece was awesome. All the parts seemed to link seamlessly together. The only problem was, in my opinion, that the variety between the graphics was not that diverse and that there didn't seem to be a theme behind any of them. You mention your interpretaion of the song, but you didn't seem to show it through your graphics.

Nice song, good quality.

No violence.

Replay button and play button. What more's needed.

Not meant to be funny.

I gave you a six because, despite the obvious merits of this piece, it didn't seem to reflect your opinion or offer much complex animation. Aesthetically: very nice - it just didn't push my buttons.

3/5

Mogly responds:

Yeah I agree with you too I think. It was a bit of a test rather than trying to really say something so thats cool.

Cheers for the review, and check it out, this review-feedback is about 10 months late!!

Oh shit!

You're seventeen and that was fuckin' awesome.

Graphics: Consistently above average for the most part. Some of the backgrounds looked quite bland and so did the preloader.

Style: Amazing animation throughout. That's all I can say. Great Style.

Sound: You seem to have composed it yourself, so kudos. However, I found it quite dull. That might just be me, but it really didn't do anything for me. I'm sure the music will get better as the series progresses.

There was a lot of violence, none of it graphic. Just very cartoony. I really liked it.

You had a play button and replay button. What more do I need?

It didn't strike me as a humourous piece, however

Sweet.

Let's get right down to it, shall we?

Graphics: Truly amazing in some places. Not so good in others. I averaged this out as a seven, albeit, a high one.

Style: Despite the graphics varied from average to awesome, the quality of the animation was consistent throughout. It was all linked nicely together, pretty much seamlessly. Great work on that.

Sound: The song was great, it was synced well with the animation and fitted quite a few of them too. Excellent choice.

Not particularly funny, I doubt it was meant to be.

Overall you get an eight. However, this is purely on an aesthetic basis. Watching this, I felt inspired. There is some abso-fucking-lutely brilliant animation in this, well worth a watch. The eight I gave does not demonstrate the sheer majesty of some of the art and animation; nor the creativity.

Sorry I can't offer much by way of constructive criticism, but you don't need it anyway.

Excellent Job, this is a favourite.

It was mildly violent in places, nothing hardcore. Meh, who really cares.

You only had a play button; no replay button. You only get a five for this. A scene selection screen would have been nice.

LaserKarl responds:

Thanks for writing such a long review, really nice of you :)

Thank you!

Okay.

Here's what i thought:

Graphics: Pretty good it all looked nice enough. The backgrounds were a bit too bland - work out some details.

Poor style. The only animation was tweening, pretty much. You need to either create more flexable models to tween or practise fbf.

Great sound, fitted the theme and appropriate sound effects where needed.

Not much violence, but only 13 year-olds care about that.

No replay button! Thus you only got a 5 in interactivity.

Not funny but that's due to the length of the piece.

You have attained a British_Moose 5. Your idea is apparent, all you need to do is build on all the things I have mentioned (especially length) and you'll have a nice little series here.

Best of luck.

Used to mess about with flash for fun, now do it professionally.
